What to tell us when you call

An emergency call moves faster when we know what we are walking into. It helps to know:

1. Thermostat — is the screen lit or blank, what is it set to, and what is it reading?
2. Outdoor unit — is it running, silent, or humming without the fan turning?
3. Indoor blower — is air still coming from the vents, warm or cold?
4. What changed — did it stop suddenly, fade over days, or follow a storm or power cut?

Don't keep cycling the system on and off — that can damage the compressor. If it has stopped cooling, leave it OFF and call us.

1. Burning electrical smell from the indoor or outdoor unit
2. Water leaking near the indoor air handler or onto the ceiling below it
3. AC completely off during a heat advisory (especially with kids, seniors, or pets at home)
4. Loud grinding, banging, or screeching from the outdoor unit
5. Ice or frost on the refrigerant lines or indoor coil
6. Smoke from any part of the system — shut off the breaker and call us
