Local Homes
Homes in Northfield
Northfield has about 2,500 homes. 74% are detached houses and 92% are owner-occupied. The typical home has seven to eight rooms and was built around 1971 (Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Community Data Snapshots 2026).
Heating in a house of that age has been replaced at least once, and when the furnace and air conditioner reach 15 to 20 years it is worth knowing which repairs make sense and which don't. The technician gives you the repair price after the diagnostic so you can decide.
