Local Homes
Lake Forest has about 7,300 homes: 77% are detached houses, 11% are in larger condominium or apartment buildings, and 89% are owner-occupied. The typical home has nine or more rooms and was built around 1976 (Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Community Data Snapshots 2026).
For a house of that size we ask a few things when you book: how many furnaces and air conditioners it has, which one is giving trouble, and the brand and model of any appliance that needs repair, so the visit can be planned.
