Local Homes
North Center has about 16,300 homes. Two- to four-unit buildings account for 43% of them and single-family houses for 27% — compared with 7% in neighboring Lakeview. 57% of homes are owner-occupied, and about half were built before 1940 (Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Community Data Snapshots 2026).
A house or a two-flat from that era has had its heating replaced more than once, and central air was added long after the building went up. We service gas furnaces, central air, ductless mini-splits and heat pumps, and repair the kitchen and laundry appliances — built-in and freestanding, high-end and regular brands.
