Star Burner ranges and cooktops
Thermador's Star Burner has a five-pointed shape, and according to Thermador product documentation its flame perimeter is 56% longer than a round burner of the same size. The star-shaped ports are prone to clogging in specific patterns, and restoring full function is part of the service. The ExtraLow simmer setting, which can hold as little as 100°F, runs on its own circuit and is diagnosed separately. See Thermador range, oven and cooktop repair.
Refrigeration and dishwashers
Freedom column refrigerators are sealed-system appliances, and that work is done by EPA Section 608 Certified technicians. Star-Sapphire dishwashers are diagnosed where they are installed. The pages for each: Thermador refrigerator repair and Thermador dishwasher repair.
After the diagnostic
You get the diagnosis and the full repair price, and you decide. If you go ahead, the $79 service call is credited toward the repair. The brand overview is on Thermador repair in Chicago.
